Deadline for Summer School scholarship application:  25 March 2012.


Applications can't be accepted after March 25th.

 

Read carefully the instructions before applying /registering and only use this application/registration form to apply to the Summer School.

  • Application procedure for the two weeks Summer School scholarship: You have to fill in a form with personal data, the motivation letter as well as the names of two referees. You also have to send a proof of your student status (matriculation copy or letter from your institute).

Eligiblity
The summer school is for students with a BSc who are currently doing their MSc or PhD students or early post docs (within 2 years after they finished their PhD) who seek a career in infection biology, immunology or related fields.

For the scholarship, which will allow the participation in the complete two-weeks course, we are interested in MSc students at an advanced phase of their studies. In the case that you have own fundings to stay for a two weeks course without scholarship, you should contact the coordinator.


Fees
The fee for the summer school will be € 100 for all students with a scholarship.

This fee will cover the costs for the first week lecture course, the symposium and the practical courses. The fee will have to be payed until May 06, 2012.

 

Registration to the lecture course or the symposium on your own costs:
If you want to register only for the lecture course in the first week, the criteria for participation are less challenging. Just send the application form and note that you plan to participate in the one week lecture course on own financing. Please indicate that you do not apply for a scholarship. Registration fee for the one week lecture course is € 50. This fee covers the lunch and beverages.

 

If you want to register for the symposium, please indicate this in the form. The symposium fee is € 50 and includes lunch, beverages and the reception.

 

If you want to visit the lecture course and the symposium we charge a fee of € 100.

Deadline for registration is the 25th of May 2012, please pay the registration fee until June 1st.

Scholarship

The scholarships will cover the travel costs up to a certain amount according to the German Travel Regulations for Public Services, the accommodation including breakfast at the students' hostel, local public transport and the excursions. In addition, we will cover a daily lunch. International students can apply for the scholarship only through our office. Application for funding is provided in the general application form. Detailed organisational information on the scholarship will be given after the selection of the scholars.

 

The ZIBI can cover health insurance for scholars through DAAD but no travel insurance.
